LAUREL, Md. — The Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) and its regional partners have set their January lineup of skill-building programs, webinars and networking opportunities designed to help garment care professionals sharpen their operations, improve customer experience and boost business performance.
DLI will present a Jan. 24 webinar, “Tracking What Matters in 2026,” led by Dave Coyle of In the Bag Cleaners and Maverick Drycleaners, beginning at 1 p.m. Eastern. It will provide owners with a clear roadmap for increasing operational efficiency and boosting profits, with topics including:
- The seven KPIs that most influence business growth
- Performance evaluation using real data
- Small adjustments that can produce major profitability gains
Prior to that, on Jan. 15, DLI will present a Marketing Masterclass via Zoom. “Actionable Marketing Moves to Build Brand Voice and Attract More Customers” is a one-hour session that will break down practical strategies to help cleaners improve visibility, strengthen customer relationships and increase revenue.
There will also be peer networking meetings every Tuesday during the month, starting at 11:30 a.m. Eastern.
“DLI’s weekly Peer-to-Peer meetings create a supportive space for members to share challenges, exchange innovative ideas and gain fresh perspectives from fellow operators,” the Institute says. “These sessions help cleaners strengthen their professional network while discovering solutions that improve production, customer service and profitability.”
Jan. 30 is the deadline to register for the next Virtual Basic Stain Removal Course, which will start Feb. 17. The online course, DLI says, will teach participants to identify stains quickly and choose the correct removal method, how to apply spotting chemicals safety and effectively, and more.

The Mid-Atlantic Association of Cleaners (MAC) will offer a maintenance-focused webinar at 1 p.m. Eastern Jan. 8 that will include practical equipment care tips to help operators reduce downtime, extend equipment lifespan and maintain consistent quality. Visit the MAC website to learn more.
The North Carolina Association of Launderers and Cleaners (NCALC) will host its regular Winter Meeting in Charlotte, N.C., Jan. 30 through Feb. 1.
