Nathan Frerichs

President/Publisher

Nathan Frerichs joined American Trade Magazines (ATM) in 2010 as the digital editor. In short order he was named Digital Media Director and under that title oversaw all of the digital products for the company’s three publications (American Coin-Op, American Drycleaner and American Laundry News). He also launched multiple new properties for the company. Nathan acquired ATM and its three titles from Charlie Thompson in 2025.

Nathan is an active member of the Textile Care Allied Trades Association and is proud to serve on its Board. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism/mass communications from Columbia College and he has worked as a reporter/editor, advertising copywriter, photographer and web developer. In his spare time Nathan enjoys traveling, hockey and spending time with his wife and two children.

Bruce Beggs

Editorial Director

Editor, American Coin-Op

Bruce Beggs is editorial director of print publications and related digital media products produced by American Trade Magazines LLC.

Bruce holds a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and mass communications from Kansas State University. His 38-year career includes experience as a reporter/editor for daily and weekly newspapers and a consumer magazine.

He joined ATM in 1999 as editor of American Laundry News, a post he held until 2011 when he was named editorial director for all ATM publications. In addition to his directorial responsibilities, Bruce serves as editor of American Coin-Op.

He and wife Sandy have two grown children and, in 2024, welcomed a granddaughter.

In his leisure time, Bruce enjoys sports and collectibles.

Matt Pawlak

Production Manager

Mathew Pawlak is an award winning magazine designer and has been in the industry for over 30 years. He joined American Trade Magazines (ATM) in 2020 and is the Production Manager for all three publications. He is responsible for the group’s art direction, production, and print operations.

Matt graduated with a bachelor’s degree in art with a graphic design emphasis from University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. He minored in art history and jewelry design and repair.

National Sales Manager

Linda has actively enjoyed a 30 year career in publishing. Connecting clients with customers is her passion. Linda's sales and marketing skills bring business to business as well as niche magazines' great success. Favorite quote: Shoot for the Moon and You'll Land Among the Stars.

Volunteer positions: Board of Governors St Louis County Historical Society, Star of the North Maternity Home, John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon, Steger Wilderness Center.

Publisher of Winter Fun 101, Summer Fun 101, DogApproved.biz. Founder of Lilac Lovefest and crepes amour, a little food truck. Owner of Results Brochure Distributors and a vacation rental on Lake Superior.

Dave Davis

Editor, American Drycleaner

Dave Davis is the editor of American Drycleaner magazine and its related digital products, joining the company in 2020.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and communications from Indiana University. During his 30-year career, he has served as the associate editor of a daily newspaper, publisher of a technical aerospace and defense journal, and the editor of national trade magazines and publications.

Dave and his wife, Kristen, live in Southern Indiana on a small farm with their lab, Callie. In his spare time, Dave is a novelist, photographer, gamer and film fan, and works with his wife in her ceramic tile business.

Matt Poe

Editor, American Laundry News

Matt Poe joined ATM in 2015 as editor of American Laundry News. He operates out of his home office in Muskegon, Michigan.

He earned a bachelor of arts degree in English, with practical and creative writing emphases, from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.

Matt’s journalism career started as a sports clerk for a local newspaper. After a year, he moved up to sports and news stringer.

In 1999, he started at a travel trade publication and grew to love working in trade publishing. Matt has been a writer and editor for trade publications ever since for businesses ranging from group travel to shed building.

He and his wife Amy have one adult daughter, Megan.

Matt enjoys reading, creative writing, fishing, hiking and biking.

Charlie Thompson

Consultant

Charlie Thompson joined American Trade Magazines (ATM) in 1989 as midwestern sales manager. He rose through the ranks eventually becoming publisher in 1998. Charlie acquired the company and its three titles (American Coin-Op, American Drycleaner and American Laundry News) from Chicago-based Crain Communications in 2011 and sold the the company to Frerichs in 2025.

Charlie has a bachelor of journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He enjoys many outdoor activities.

Donald Feinstein

Investor

Don Feinstein is the former publisher for American Trade Magazines and was responsible for the group’s editorial, production, circulation, promotions and sales operations.

Don joined the ATM team in 2001 as production manager before shifting to ad sales as a regional manager in 2005. Feinstein was named national sales director in 2011, later the associate publisher, then took the reins as publisher until 2023.

Don graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Drake University. He enjoys graphic design, guitar and other creative outlets.
