LAUREL, Md. — Dry cleaners looking to build their business, streamline their operations and learn new skills to serve their customers will have plenty of options in April.
The Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) will be offering two one-hour webinar programs — one on how drycleaners can outsource their payrolls and the other dealing with maximizing the spring high season. It will also offer an in-depth course for members on stain removal.
Virtual Training Opportunities
DLI will be presenting the following virtual training schedule for April 2023. Sessions begin at 1 p.m. EST.
- Wednesday, April 12 – "Benefits to Outsourcing Your Payroll"
- Wednesday, April 19 – "Maximize Spring 2023 High Season" with Industry Marketing Coach Dave Coyle of Maverick Drycleaners
April also marks the start of the DLI Virtual Stain Removal Course. The course, held from April 25 to May 16, will be spread over seven two-hour sessions, held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The course is free for members. More information can be found on the course’s website.
Peer-to-Peer Opportunities
In addition to providing regular virtual learning opportunities, DLI will continue to host weekly Peer-to-Peer Member Zoom meetings every Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. Eastern in January to bring members together.
“DLI believes in the value of peer-to-peer learning,” Scalco said. “Our weekly meetings are where DLI member cleaners share ideas and find ways to improve their businesses. Participants tell me they find these meetings very valuable, since both large and small operators share their experiences and learn from each other,” she said.
