LANCASTER, Pa. — ZIPS Cleaners officially returned here this month with the opening of its newest garment care location at 1631 Mannheim Pike. Franchise owners Leda Peterson and Diego Osorio, a mother-in-law/son-in-law team, have ties to the chain’s nearby York location.
The duo are optimistic about the prospects for their new location, ZIPS reports, noting that their spirits have been lifted in part by the many comments they’ve received about the company’s return to the area.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing ZIPS back to Lancaster,” says Peterson, speaking about the satisfaction they’ve felt in answering the many calls for the brand to return to the market after a previous location closed during the pandemic. “There is a lot of loyalty here for this brand, and everyone we’re hearing from is telling us they are incredibly happy to once again have a convenient, reliable and affordable option for keeping their clothes fresh and looking their best.”
ZIPS now has more than 70 locations spanning across the United States from its Mid-Atlantic base to the West Coast, and the franchisor says deals are in place for many more locations to open soon.
The company also recently entered into a master franchisee role with Mulberrys Garment Care, a high-end brand with more than a dozen current locations in California, Minnesota and Washington, D.C., with others slated to open soon.
