Veteran Franchise Owners Take Over Florida Martinizing Stores

Bonita Springs, Naples drycleaning locations now under new ownership

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — Michael Anderer and Dawn Duerwald, a husband-and-wife duo with extensive experience in franchise ownership, are the new owners of Martinizing Cleaners’ three Bonita Springs- and Naples-based locations, the franchise reports.

The couple are moving from Long Island, New York, to oversee the stores, which will continue operations with the existing Martinizing staff.

Before joining the Martinizing Cleaners brand, Anderer was a McDonald’s franchise owner for almost 20 years, with more than 30 stores in that franchise system. Duerwald assists Anderer in business ownership with the knowledge she accumulated from managing her parents’ restaurant.

“Dawn and I both come from service backgrounds, and we know we’re more than capable of translating our past experiences to our new business,” says Anderer. “More importantly, we’re excited to get to serve a new community and uphold the reputation that the previous owners worked so hard to establish. We’re people-first by nature, and we’re confident that our ability to dedicate ourselves to others will make this transition go smoothly.”

“We’re so excited to take care of new people and help give them back time to focus on what matters to them,” says Duerwald. “We’ve been so fortunate to step into a position with a team that not only has the resources to help us quickly succeed, but that has also been so enthusiastic in welcoming us with open arms and offering their services to those in need. Going forward, we hope our experience can help our team and our community even more.”

Anderer and Duerwald have a history of investing heavily in their local communities. Before their move, Duerwald was involved with CAST, the Center for Advocacy Support and Transformation, which helped new residents integrate into their New York community. Anderer is a Vietnamese adoptee who is involved in the Asian adoptee community. He currently sits as the chairperson for SEA2C, a foundation that supports Vietnam War-era adoptees and Vietnam War veterans in sharing their stories and reconnecting with their biological families.
