BOSTON — Coming together to compare notes and look for solutions in a challenging market, the New England Sanitone licensees held their annual meeting in Boston on Jan. 26.
“The longest-running independent group of drycleaners celebrated their 78th year together at the Four Seasons Hotel with special guest speaker Ryan Fish,” says Jeff Jordan, vice president of Sanitone’s parent company, Fabritec International, in a release. “From Red Hanger Cleaners in Salt Lake City, Utah, Ryan shared his story of personal and professional challenges in his speech ‘Choosing Hard.’”
Jordan said the meeting also served as an opportunity for owners to discuss industry trends, the labor market, best practices, and lessons learned.
“The open-discussion format encourages honest exchanges between owners where they get an opportunity to bring up topics that are important to their businesses,” he says. Included in this discussion was an update on the DLI from Chairman of the Board Jeff Schwegmann.
Sanitone also officially introduced their newest addition to the team, Paul Mastrola, who will be serving as the northeast regional director of sales. Mastrola joins the group with 15 years of experience in the industry as an operator.
The New England Sanitone Licensees meet every January in Boston, and the meeting is open to all current Licensees across the country.
“It’s a great opportunity to network with the best cleaners in the industry,” Jordan says.
