Husband-and-Wife Duo Opens Martinizing Cleaners in Ohio

MARYSVILLE, Ohio — The newest Martinizing Cleaners in the Greater Columbus metropolitan area, Martinizing Cleaners of Marysville, has recently opened, the franchisor reports. The business will serve residents of Marysville and the surrounding towns of Union County.

The husband-and-wife team of Eric and Kathy Rohrs, who met while attending Marysville High School and never strayed far from their hometown, own and operate the franchise location. With many friends and family still living nearby, the Rohrses say they decided to join the drycleaning and laundry industry to provide their community with a service in great need.

“Our mission is to provide a valuable service to our hometown community, while also fostering a friendly environment and meeting every need with a smile on our faces,” Kathy Rohrs says. “The most exciting part of the drycleaning and laundry industry to us is the people. This is a business that allows us to interact with so many members of our community and provide them with a service that makes their lives easier, which is truly fulfilling to Eric and me.”

Since their days as high school students, the Rohrs have remained involved in the Marysville community. Kathy is still an active volunteer in the Marysville school district and received the 2019 Good Apple Award for her consistent dedication to Marysville’s students.

Eric’s professional career has largely been in the software industry, where he has held multiple advisory and managerial roles since graduating from Ohio University. His experience overseeing complex systems and developing business teams, the couple believes, will complement Kathy’s hands-on leadership style to provide Union County with a knowledgeable garment care solution.

“We’re incredibly grateful to still live in the community where we were raised, alongside our parents and many of our friends and family,” Eric Rohrs says. “To be able to provide our neighbors with an essential service is a blessing to us. We can’t wait to do our part when it comes to bettering this community.”
