Charlie Thompson, President and Publisher
Charlie Thompson joined American Trade Magazines in 1989 as midwestern sales manager. He rose through the ranks eventually becoming publisher in 1998. Mr. Thompson has overall responsibility for editorial, production, circulation, promotion and sales operations of the company's print and online products.
Active in a number of professional associations, memberships include the Textile Care Allied Trade Association, American Reusable Textile Association, Textile Rental Services Association and the Association for Linen Management.
Mr. Thompson has a bachelor of journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He enjoys hunting and other outdoor activities.
Bruce Beggs, Editorial Director
Bruce Beggs is editorial director of print publications and related digital media products produced by American Trade Magazines LLC (ATM).
Bruce earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and mass communications from Kansas State University, and his early career included experience as a reporter/editor for daily and weekly newspapers, and a consumer magazine.
He joined ATM in 1999 as editor of American Laundry News, a post he held until 2011 when he was named editorial director for all ATM publications. In addition to his directorial responsibilities, Bruce serves as editor of American Coin-Op.
Bruce enjoys sports and collectibles in his leisure time.
Donald Feinstein, Associate Publisher/National Sales Director
Don currently oversees all advertising sales for American Trade Magazines (ATM) print publications and digital media products.
After five years in magazine production, Don joined the ATM print publications in 2001 as the group’s production manager, overseeing the transition to an all-digital workflow. In 2005, he moved into ad sales and quickly became Eastern regional sales manager. He was named national sales director in 2011, and was given the additional title and responsibilities of associate publisher in June 2017.
Don graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Drake University. He enjoys graphic design, guitar and other creative outlets.
Nathan Frerichs, Digital Media Director
Nathan oversees all of the company's digital products. He has been running the websites for American Trade Magazines’ three publications since 2010 and has launched multiple new properties since then as well.
Prior to joining ATM, he worked as a reporter/editor, advertising copywriter, photographer and, ultimately, a web designer and developer.
Nathan earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism/mass communications from Columbia College - Chicago. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and two children.
John S. Suhler, Adviser
John S. Suhler is co-founder and general partner of Veronis Suhler Stevenson, a private equity and debt capital fund management company that invests in the media industry.
For much of his operational career, Suhler was a senior manager/publisher/president in educational, professional and consumer publishing. He has been a member of the board of directors of the Association of American Publishers and the Magazine Publishers of America, and an affiliate member of the American Newspaper Publishers.
