Texcare International on Track for November Show

Organizers report nearly 250 exhibitors are already registered for event

FRANKFURT, Germany — Texcare International in Frankfurt am Main, looks to be on track for success, says event organizer Messe Frankfurt.

The company reports that the event, to held from Wednesday, Nov. 6 through Saturday, Nov. 9, has 247 companies from 30 countries already registered and the exhibition space is almost fully booked — “significantly more than at the same time of the planned previous event in 2020,” the company says in its release. “A high level of international participation is expected.”

"We are delighted with the strong response from the industry,” says Johannes Schmid-Wiedersheim, director of Texcare. “Texcare will have an enormous range this time — in addition to the major manufacturers of machinery, chemicals and textiles, there will also be many new companies, for example from the robotics and IT sectors. With exhibitors from all over Europe, Asia and North America, we are once again achieving a very high level of internationality. Visitors can therefore expect a comprehensive overview of innovations from all product areas of textile care."

This four-day schedule marks a change for the expo, which has been traditionally held earlier in the year, and lasting for five days, starting on Saturdays and ending on Wednesdays. The change in schedule, Messe Frankfurt reports, comes from surveys it conducted with exhibitors and visitors. “The result: a clear vote for a change in the sequence of days, a dense program on four trade fair days with a majority preference for an autumn date and more offers for learning and networking,” the company reported in its release announcing the dates.

"It is important for our industry to finally meet in person again,” says Andreas Schumacher, managing director of the German Textile Cleaning Association, “particularly in view of the current challenges, such as rising costs, especially in the energy sector, and the shortage of skilled labor, I think it is essential to experience the industry's innovations and discuss ideas for new business areas together. It's great that so many exhibitors have already registered — we are looking forward to our leading trade fair."

The range of products and services at Texcare is aimed at dry cleaners, commercial laundries and textile service providers, the company states, as well as hotels, hospitals, care homes and other businesses that professionally handle their own laundry.

“The textile care industry is not immune to challenges such as labor shortages,” Messe Frankfurt says in its release. “Digital technologies are increasingly helping to compensate for this situation and optimize work processes. Automation is therefore one of the top themes at Texcare International 2024. Other important industry topics are the circular economy and energy efficiency — both levers for making processes in laundries and dry cleaners more efficient and sustainable. The focus will also be on new developments in textile hygiene.”

Other events organized by Messe Frankfurt in the coming months include the Texcare Asia & China Laundry Expo, to be held Sept. 25-27, 2023; Texcare France, to be held Nov. 25-27, 2023; and The Clean Show, to be held in Orlando, Fla. From Aug. 23-26, 2025.
