FRANKFURT, Germany — Messe Frankfurt, the organizer of Texcare International in Frankfurt am Main, has announced that the next event will be held from Wednesday, Nov. 6 through Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024.
This four-day schedule marks a change for the expo, which has been traditionally held earlier in the year, and lasting for five days, starting on Saturdays and ending on Wednesdays.
The event, held every four years, brings together textile care professionals to demonstrate the latest technology in the field and provides attendees from around the world to network and exchange knowledge.
The change in schedule, Messe Frankfurt reports, comes from surveys it conducted with exhibitors and visitors. “The result: a clear vote for a change in the sequence of days, a dense program on four trade fair days with a majority preference for an autumn date and more offers for learning and networking,” the company reported in its release announcing the dates.
"For us as organizers, it is important to have our ears to the pulse of the industry and the people Texcare serves,” says Kerstin Horaczek, vice president technology shows, Messe Frankfurt. “The talks with the industry have once again shown how important it is for them to exchange ideas with each other. We are pleased to be able to respond to the changing needs of the participants with the new timeframe and to be able to show them: It is in close cooperation, that we successfully continue to develop the event. Needless to say, this also applies to the content that will now follow."
Those surveyed were also asked about the current challenges facing the textile care industry in a post-pandemic world.
“The automation of work processes as a measure against the shortage of skilled workers, increasing efficiency and quality, and securing energy supplies emerged as the most important topics for visitors,” the release reports. “The reduction of emissions was also rated as relevant. The topics mentioned illustrate the influence of the global political situation on the textile care industry: high energy costs, supply shortages, the war in Ukraine and the advancing climate change represent challenges that require new solutions.”
Further information, including the theme for the event, will be announced over the course of the year. Exhibitor registration for Texcare International will start in September 2023.
Other events organized by Messe Frankfurt in the coming months include the Texcare Asia & China Laundry Expo, to be held Sept. 25-27, 2023; Texcare France, to be held Nov. 25-27, 2023; and The Clean Show, to be held in Orlando, Fla. From Aug. 23-26, 2025.
