NEW YORK — Todd Layne Cleaners, headquartered here on the Upper East Side, has opened a new location in the West Village.
The expansion marks a milestone for the family-owned business, the company says, as it brings its services to downtown Manhattan. The West Village location will be operated by Chris Chew, who joins Todd Layne Cleaners as a new partner.
A San Francisco native, Chew has called New York City home since 2014, except for a few years spent in Miami. After many years in management consulting, the company says, he has returned to launch this new venture and bring his business expertise to the garment care industry.
“We’re thrilled to bring Todd Layne Cleaners to the West Village community,” says Chew. “Our goal is to provide the same exceptional service and attention to detail that Upper East Side customers have relied on for years, while becoming a trusted part of the West Village neighborhood. We’re especially excited to offer our ‘Laundry Your Way’ concept, which gives customers unprecedented control over how their laundry is done — something that truly sets us apart.”
Since its founding, owner Todd Layne Ofsink has developed the “Laundry Your Way” concept, eco-friendly dry cleaning and personalized customer service. Todd Layne Cleaners, the company says, offers customers complete customization of their laundry experience.
The East Side location just completed a gut renovation of its laundromat, the company says, with new Wascomat washers, dryers, a hot-water heating system, flooring, lighting, and the option to pay with coins or tap to pay.
The new West Village location will offer a full range of services, the company says, including the “Laundry Your Way” service, eco-friendly dry cleaning, jacket waxing, puffer cleaning and specialty garment care.
