MAUMEE, Ohio — Spartan Chemical Company, Inc., a manufacturer of sustainable cleaning and sanitation solutions for the industrial and institutional market, reports it has hired Andy Scherting as regional manager. He joins Spartan in the Toledo, Ohio, region.
For the past three and a half years, he served as U.S. commercial director of sales and brokerage for Select Dedicated Solutions. He was responsible for overseeing growth of the U.S. sales team, the diversification of commercial freight clients, and the integration of U.S. and Mexico operations to grow and expand both the asset and brokerage divisions of the cross-border logistics business.
Prior to that, Scherting served seven years as vice president of Go Logistics in Millbury, Ohio, where he was responsible for overseeing the brokerage group’s domestic and international sales growth. He also spent five years at Keller Logistics, holding various titles that included warehouse manager, fleet manager and logistics manager.
Scherting has a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management from the University of Toledo.
