CHICAGO — The WNBA’s Chicago Sky and CD One Price Cleaners recently announced a new partnership, naming CD One Price Cleaners as the Official Cleaners of the Chicago Sky.
The partnership, which consists of a full package of marketing and community assets, bolsters CD One Price Cleaners' commitment to the Chicagoland community. More precisely, it highlights the brand's support of gender equality.
"For over 20 years, we've always charged the same price for both men's and women's garments. We don't feel there's any reason why a dress should cost more to be cleaned than a blazer," says Rafiq Karimi Jr., co-founder and CEO of CD One Price Cleaners. "We are beyond thrilled to partner with the Chicago Sky, an organization that shares our values and dedication to empowering women in communities throughout our Chicagoland home."
To celebrate the new partnership, the Chicago Sky is extending discounted tickets to CD One Price Cleaners customers across their 36 Chicagoland locations.
"The Sky organization is proud to partner with a brand that is committed to advancing social justice and extending the interest of the WNBA," says Sky Vice President of Sponsorship Alex Teodosi.
The Chicago Sky was the first independently owned women's professional basketball team to join the WNBA and plays at the Wintrust Arena
The new partnership was announced just before the Sky's preseason opener on May 5. The WNBA season runs from May through September.
