TCATA’s Annual Education Conference Set to Start in April

‘Facing the Future Together’ to examine upcoming opportunities, challenges

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. — The 2024 Annual Management and Educational Conference of the Textile Care Allied Trades Association (TCATA) has been announced as April 28 – May 1 at Barton Creek Omni Resort, in Austin Texas.

The organization, representing manufacturers and distributors of drycleaning and laundry equipment and supplies, says that the event — “Facing the Future Together” — will offer business sessions, speakers and the opportunity to network with other industry professionals.

“As we look to the future, the business committee has done an outstanding job of identifying key topics to influence and drive our future business strategies,” says Conference Chair Chip Ottman, who is also the owner and president of R.W. Martin Company. “We are finalizing dynamic speakers who are sure to bring some new practices for your current framework.”

Speakers will include:

  • Pamela Barnum, The Trust Agent — “Barmum is a trust strategist and nonverbal communication expert,” the announcement states. “As a former undercover police officer and Federal Prosecuting Attorney, Pamela provides actionable strategies to help you negotiate, influence, and build trust through intentional communication and nonverbal cues.”
  • Tom Edwards, futurist and AI expert — “Tom is one of top minds in marketing and emerging technologies,” the release states. “Are you intimidated by Artificial Intelligence? Tom will help attendees understand how AI can help their businesses.”

In addition to his presentation, Edwards will also be leading an interactive session during the Executive Idea Exchange to help attendees develop practical methods to apply AI to their businesses.
