PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — America’s Best Cleaners (ABC), a national certification agency and consulting firm for the drycleaning and textile care industry, recently named Anchorage, Alaska-based Fireweed Cleaners as its newest affiliate. It also recertified Power Cleaners, located in Lake Forest, California, which has been an ABC affiliate for more than a decade.
To achieve or maintain affiliate status, cleaners selected by ABC are obliged to undergo on-site inspections by certified representatives from the organization to identify if the business meets the qualification requirements of stain removal, finishing quality, machinery equipment, and cleanliness. These cleaners are also required to undergo quarterly mystery shopping reports, monthly quality tests, and testing for customer service and quality as part of the certification process.
Fireweed Cleaners
Founded in 1967, Fireweed Cleaners has been a family-owned business for more than 50 years. From starting as a small drycleaning operation, they have since grown to become the most prestigious drycleaning business in Anchorage. In 2008, Fireweed Cleaners was named “The Best of Anchorage,” by the Anchorage Daily News and was also awarded the Gold Pan Award by the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce.
ABC noted that Fireweed Cleaners are actively involved in their community and remain committed to serving the people of Anchorage and the surrounding rural communities as well.
“I joined America’s Best Cleaners for one reason — to make my company the best it can possibly be,” Fireweed General Manager JT Hampton says. “My personal mantra has always been, ‘If you’re not moving forward, you’re just trying not to move backward.’ This is the way forward. To be the best, you have to run with the best and just like the name says, America’s Best Cleaners is the best of the best. I’m honored to be a part of that.”
“We are excited to have Fireweed Cleaners as part of our affiliation,” ABC Executive Director Chris White says. “JT has already provided valuable perspective and fresh ideas to our programming. We all appreciated him jumping right in to share and contribute some great ideas to our discussions on Diversification. I can’t wait to see what he does personally and professionally as Fireweed Cleaners continues to grow.”
“In the future, I look forward to collaborating with like-minded individuals that constantly want to better themselves and their business,” Hampton adds. “I look forward, strange as it may be, to the challenges we will face and how we will overcome them together. Simply put, I look forward to every minute I get to spend with the group.”
Power Cleaners
ABC also recently recertified Lake Forest, California-based Power Cleaners, for the 14th consecutive year.
“We are truly honored to have been selected again as an affiliate of America’s Business Cleaners this year,” the company said in a statement. “Receiving full affiliation with America’s Best Cleaners and the associated requirements offers our customers and partners the guarantee that we are completely dedicated to incessantly exceeding their expectations of service and quality.”
Power Cleaners is a family-owned drycleaning company that, according to ABC, is actively working to make sure they exceed their customers’ expectations. While they use advanced technology to make every customer’s cleaning service or delivery fast and simple, Power Cleaners is always proud of its “old world” secrets.
