CONKLIN, N.Y. — Most dry cleaners saw better business in 2024 and are optimistic about 2025, according to the second annual “State of the Dry Cleaning Industry Report” commissioned and released by Cleaner’s Supply.
The study, conducted with 894 drycleaning business owners across the United States, is designed to provide insights into industry trends, current challenges, and the strategies dry cleaners are using to grow their businesses.
The findings reveal that most dry cleaners saw business improvement in 2024 compared to the previous year, the company says, adding that optimism remains strong for 2025.
One notable shift in the industry, the study found, is that hiring has become less of a challenge, with many owners now focused on increasing their overall business growth. Additionally, the study highlights the growing adoption of wet cleaning as a key operational trend.
The report provides benchmarking data, including average pricing on popular cleaned items both nationally and regionally. It also explores how dry cleaners are successfully expanding their services and marketing strategies to drive growth.
