LEEDS, Ala. — M&B Hangers has announced the upcoming retirement of Steve Pedelty, a respected industry veteran with over four decades of experience in the drycleaning supply sector. Pedelty will conclude his distinguished career at the end of 2024, the company says in its release, marking the culmination of 19 years of service with M&B Hangers.
Pedelty began his career in 1982 with Cleaners Hanger Company (CHC), where he rose to the position of vice president of sales during his 21-year tenure. Following CHC's closure in 2003, he brought his expertise to several leading companies in the industry, including Nagel Hanger Company and United Wire Hanger, before finding his permanent home with M&B Hangers.
“Steve always did things the right way,” says John T. Thomas III, vice president at M&B Hangers. “He developed lasting relationships that made people want to do business with him. He developed and nurtured relationships. Steve often joked that he felt like a bartender because his friends and customers always confided in him about their issues. We are a better company because he joined our team.”
In its announcement, M&B Hangers extended its gratitude to Pedelty for his significant contributions to both the company and the industry as a whole, and wishes him and his wife, Janet, the very best in this new chapter of their lives.
