ANAHEIM, Calif. — The California Cleaners Association (CCA) has appointed Leslie Schaeffer its new executive director effective Thursday, May 1, the organization reports.
Schaeffer brings more than 40 years of experience in the drycleaning industry to this post and has been involved with the organization for decades, CCA says. She succeeds Jennifer Yancy in the executive director role.
“I’m looking forward to my expanded role with the association,” Schaeffer says, “helping the CCA community grow and navigate the ever-changing drycleaning business model.”
Schaeffer serves as vice president of BPS Communications Inc. and is co-publisher of National Clothesline.
Her industry leadership has included roles as show manager for the Fabricare trade shows, which includes last year’s Drycleaning & Laundry Expo West in Las Vegas; executive director of the former Pennsylvania and Delaware Cleaners Association (PDCA), and CEO of the Textile Care Allied Trades Association (TCATA).
