TAMPA — Press Release from the Textile Care Allied Trades Association (TCATA):
As you all know, the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) has designated Covid-19 to be a global pandemic, and the President has declared a National Emergency. In response to limits being put on travel and social gatherings, your Board of Directors recognized that holding our upcoming Conference as originally scheduled was simply not an option.
The Board considered rescheduling the Conference for later this year, but in light of the uncertainty surrounding the timeline of the epidemic, it decided to postpone until an appropriate time in 2021.
The Board didn’t take this decision lightly, especially since we were all looking forward to celebrating our 100th Anniversary together. But in the shadow of the Coronavirus, we believe this decision was necessary to protect the health and safety of our members, which we put first and foremost.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding. We will provide further details on the 2021 Conference as soon as they become available.
Fred Schwarzmann, TCATA, President
Leslie Schaeffer, TCATA, CEO
