Seven Students Receive Drycleaning Scholarships

LAUREL, Md. — Noting that “sponsorships pave the way for success,” the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) School of Drycleaning Technology, would like to thank the following companies for providing scholarships for the following seven students:

Kreussler Scholarship recipients: Julie Puente-Mata, Tiffany Couture Cleaners, Las Vegas, Nev.; Kelly Crapser, Wedding Gown Preservation, Co., Endicott, N.Y.; and John Pack, Davids Cleaners, Inc., Winston-Salem, N.C.

Lucky Amatore Memorial Scholarship recipient, presented by the Pennsylvania & Delaware Cleaners Association: Nate Whitmer, Balfurd Cleaners, State College, Pa.

Michigan Institute of Laundering & Drycleaning Scholarship recipient: Arika Williams, Curtis Cleaners & Laundry, Lowell, Mich.

R.R. Street & Co. Scholarship recipient: Lori Williams, A1 Dry Cleaners, Rockford, Ill.

Illinois Professional Drycleaners & Launderers Association Scholarship recipient: Chris Ainsworth, A1 Dry Cleaners, Rockford, Ill.

These scholarship recipients attended DLI’s 376th General Drycleaning Course, completed last year.

Founded in 1927, DLI’s School of Drycleaning Technology has helped shape the careers of thousands of dry cleaners worldwide, it notes.

Kreussler awarded a scholarship to John Pack of Davids Cleaners, Inc., Winston-Salem, N.C., to attend DLI’s 376th Advanced Drycleaning Course.

Nate Whitmer of Balfurd Cleaners in State College, Pa., received the Pennsylvania & Delaware Cleaners Association’s Lucky Amatore Memorial Scholarship to attend DLI’s 376th Advanced Drycleaning Course.

Arika Williams of Curtis Cleaners & Laundry in Lowell, Mich., received a scholarship from the Michigan Institute of Laundering & Drycleaning to attend DLI’s 376th Introduction to Drycleaning Course.

Lori Williams of A1 Dry Cleaners in Rockford, Ill., received a scholarship from R.R. Street & Co., Inc. to attend DLI’s 376th Introduction to Drycleaning Course.

Chris Ainsworth of A1 Dry Cleaners in Rockford, Ill., received a scholarship from the Illinois Professional Drycleaners and Launderers Association to attend the DLI’s 376th Introduction to Drycleaning Course.
