Planet Hollywood Opens in Time for Clean '07

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, headquarters hotel for the International Fabricare Institute (IFI) during Clean ’07, opened under its new name last week and revealed plans for a complete rebranding of the property formerly known as the Aladdin.
The “retro-chic” renovation – already well underway – will position the resort as one of the major players on the Strip. “This project is the fulfillment of a dream,” said Robert Earl, co-chairman of the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, a joint venture of Planet Hollywood and Starwood Resorts.
The renovated destination will feature floor-to-ceiling Swarovski crystal chandeliers in its lobby, 2,600 movie-themed rooms and suites, and thousands of square feet of Tinseltown-themed casino action. Upscale restaurants will include Los Angeles’ popular Japanese restaurant, Koi.
Nightspots will include the Extra Lounge, bureau headquarters of the eponymous TV celebrity newsmagazine, the Living Room lounge, and Privé nightclub. For entertainment, the hotel will stage The Beauty of Magic, starring magician Hans Klok and Pamela Anderson, and Stomp Out Loud.
For Clean Show visitors, the resort offers more than 75,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and a full-service business center. The resort also features a luxury spa, two pools and the Miracle Mile shops, with more than 170 retailers.
To reserve at Planet Hollywood or any of Clean’s eight official hotels, visit www.cleanshow.com or call 888-892-5822; IFI members should call the resort directly at 877-584-6938. The reservations deadline is May 11.
