NEW YORK, N.Y. – The National Cleaners Association (NCA) says that Texcare ‘07, the industry’s largest show in the Northeast, is almost sold out of exhibit space. The expanded two-day trade show is set for Oct. 20-21 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, N.J.
“There are more drycleaners and coin-op laundry operators concentrated in the Northeast than in any other place in the world, and they come to Texcare to do business,” says NCA Special Projects Director Ann Hargrove. “Texcare welcomed almost 3,000 attendees and 200 exhibitors in 2005, with this year’s show already surpassing those numbers, with 80% of the booths already sold out.
“We have commitments from the drycleaning and laundry industry’s biggest equipment distributors and solution suppliers, and have coordinated live demonstrations of equipment and process improvements that will take your breath away.”
Texcare will also feature a number of speakers to help operators address issues in the industry. Jason Loeb, owner of Sudsies.com in South Florida, will conduct a full-day seminar and workshop on buiding a money-making pickup-and-delivery business and brand. The preshow seminar will be held at the Meadowlands on Friday, Oct. 19.
Before the show on Saturday, Kirsten Whitten, co-owner of G.T. Graphics & Marketing in Hanson, Mass., will present, “Unharnessing The Power of Public Relations.” Kelly Kelleher, principal of Kelleher Equipment Supply in Long Beach, Calif., will then offer “The Art of Negotiating A Lease.”
On Sunday morning, Alan Spielvogel, NCA’s technical director and director of the New York School of Drycleaning, will discuss problem garments in a session entitled “Watch Out!” Afterward, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) will discuss new environmental initiatives in the state.
Activities include Saturday night's thoroughbred racing and buffet dinner at nearby Meadowlands Racetrack. “You can’t afford to miss the networking and business opportunities that Texcare offers your company,” Hargrove says.
Exhibit hours on Saturday will be 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Sunday, 10:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m. Admission to the show floor and seminars is free to all drycleaners and coin-op laundry owners, and a variety of hotel packages are available.
