KANSAS CITY, Mo. — GreenEarth Cleaning LLC has signed GreenClean Tintorerias as a Master Licensor for its silicone-based drycleaning technology in Mexico.
Oscar Escalante, owner of GreenClean, which is headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico, purchased the exclusive rights to license GreenEarth in Mexico after spending four years building a chain of 5 á Sec drycleaning franchise stores. Escalante’s plans for growth include both company-owned stores and sublicensed operations — the first company-owned store opened in Monterrey in late November, and three stores will open in Monterrey within the first year, he says.
“I see this as having more potential as a business venture than even 5 á Sec, which was a strong concept and very successful for me,” says Escalante. “GreenEarth is doing everything right. Perchloroethylene and hydrocarbon were good technologies for their day, but GreenEarth is definitely the future. And the advantage it gives me in marketing to Mexico’s upscale, discriminating clientele is very appealing.”
