RAVE FabriCARE, is a nationally recognized, 35 year old, high quality, high priced dry cleaner/garment care specialist. We offer a wide range of fine garment, household textile and accessory services -- all in-house using our own technicians.
We offer these services in-store, through pick up and delivery and through nationwide and worldwide clean by mail.
We operate a modern, spacious 11,000 square foot plant in Scottsdale (metro Phoenix, Arizona area).
We are looking for a technically-skilled, detailed, conscientious, reliable spotter to care for all our “dry clean only” garments.
We have second spotter who handles "machine or hand washable" garments and who runs the dry cleaning machines. All cottons and linens -- including whites -- that are machine washable or hand washable are first wet cleaned and hung dried and finally dry cleaned and hand ironed.
This is a full time position (Monday to Friday).
The garments we care for are primarily bespoke, made-to-measure, high fashion, designer, specialty (garments with beads, rhinestones, hand paint, silk screen, etc), couture and other similar garments. We also clean soiled inventory for resale by hi-end department stores, hi-end retailers, custom clothiers, boutiques and bridal stores.
Our standard turnaround time is ONE WEEK (more for specialty and other garments that require more time). Unlike ordinary cleaners, we don't offer same, next day or three day in-store service or 3 day pick up and delivery service.
At RAVE FabriCARE, we don't compromise on quality or shortcut our procedures on garments, household textiles and accessories. If we are not provided the time to produce the best possible results, we just refuse to accept the work.
WE OFFER:
* Uncommonly excellent compensation. Your first question should not be "how much do you pay?" If you have the technical skills and verifiable work history we're looking for, you'll be amongst the highest paid Spotters anywhere in the USA.
* All the equipment and tools you might need to professionally function at this level, including 4 Union dry cleaning machines (primarily Green Earth), 4 hard-mount Milnor and Unimac washers, 3 soft-mount Miele and Electrolux wet clean machines, 3 Unimac gas dryers, 2 Milnor/ADC steam dryers and multiple soaking baths.
* A culture of commitment to the art and science of fine garment care. You will be working with long-serving, technically skilled fellow employees who are masters in one specific area (for example, a presser whose only function is to hand iron dry cleaned cotton and linen shirts and blouses). We'd never hire a "jack of all trades" even if we were desperate to fill that position.
* The time to do the job right without the owner/manager breathing down your neck and telling you to “get it out...get it out.”
* No glued on bar codes. We don't use bar codes because we don't track pieces per hour, don't pay by the piece and refuse to trash our client's expensive garments and household textiles with ugly bar codes. Bar codes should be limited to uniform rental companies.
* Paid vacation (1 week after 1 year of service, 2 weeks after 2 years, 3 weeks after 3years).
* Paid holidays (5 major holidays per year).
* Overtime pay at the legally-required rate (hours in excess of 40 in any pay period).
* 40 hour work week (Mon - Fri).
* Subsidized medical insurance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION ARE:
* Must be experienced handling the type of garments mentioned above using pre-spotting, dry cleaning, wet cleaning, hand washing, soaking and other specialty techniques.
Please do not apply if your spotting experience involves:
-- loading and unloading a dry cleaning machine and then post-spotting.
-- spotting/running the dry cleaning machine for a few hours and then pressing the rest of the day.
-- using multiple “secret” spotting chemicals and "secret" spotting techniques known only to you.
-- throwing a little bit of this or a little bit of that on a garment and hoping for the best.
* Must be a team player with a positive attitude and open to new ideas/techniques.
Please do not apply if you believe you know everything about garment care and have difficulty working with fellow team members.
* Must have a work history at a limited number of dry cleaners.
Please do not apply if your work history involves :
-- job hopping from one cleaner to the next
-- prior ownership of a dry cleaner that was sold or is no longer in business.
* Must be smoke/vape/drug/alcohol free.
* Must have a personal, reliable vehicle (or the means to acquire a reliable vehicle).
* Must have no criminal record.

Operamos una planta moderna y espaciosa de 11,000 pies cuadrados en Scottsdale (área metropolitana de Phoenix, Arizona).
Estamos buscando un “spotter” técnicamente capacitado, detallista, concienzudo y confiable para cuidar todas nuestras prendas “solo limpieza en seco”.
Contamos con un segundo spotter que se encarga de las prendas “lavables a máquina o a mano” y que opera las máquinas de limpieza en seco. Todos los algodones y linos —incluyendo los blancos— que se pueden lavar a máquina o a mano se limpian primero en húmedo, se secan colgados y finalmente se limpian en seco y se planchan a mano.

Nuestro tiempo estándar de entrega es de UNA SEMANA (más para prendas especiales y otras que requieran más tiempo). A diferencia de las tintorerías comunes, no ofrecemos servicio en tienda el mismo día, al día siguiente o en tres días, ni servicio de recogida y entrega en tres días.

OFRECEMOS:
* Compensación excepcional. Tu primera pregunta no debería ser “¿cuánto pagan?” Si tienes las habilidades técnicas y experiencia verificable que buscamos, estarás entre los spotters mejor pagados de EE. UU.

* Días festivos pagados (5 días festivos importantes al año).
* Pago de horas extra a la tasa legalmente requerida (horas que excedan las 40 en cualquier período de pago).

REQUISITOS MINIMOS PARA EL PUESTO:
* Debe tener experiencia manejando el tipo de prendas mencionadas anteriormente utilizando técnicas de pre-spotting, limpieza en seco, limpieza en húmedo, lavado a mano, remojo y otras técnicas especializadas.
Por favor, no postularse si tu experiencia en spotting incluye:
-- cargar y descargar una máquina de limpieza en seco y luego hacer post-spotting.
-- hacer spotting/operar la máquina de limpieza en seco unas horas y luego planchar el resto del día.
-- usar múltiples químicos de spotting “secretos” y técnicas de spotting “secretas” conocidas solo por ti.
-- aplicar un poco de esto o un poco de aquello en una prenda y esperar lo mejor.
* Debe ser un jugador de equipo con actitud positiva y abierto a nuevas ideas/técnicas.
