NCA Couture Finishing Intensive Class

-

The National Cleaners Association (NCA) will be holding its Couture Finishing Intensive Class on Sunday, May 3. The one-day advanced-level course, presented by NCA's Technical Director Alan Spielvogel, will instruct attendees on how to handle high-value garments, master fine pressing techniques and deliver premium results. This course, NCA says, is designed for experienced pressers and production professionals who want to elevate their finishing to couture-level standards.

Students in this course will learn:

• Precision techniques for delicate and high-end garments
• Fabric sensitivity and structure awareness
• Heat, steam, and pressure control at a professional level
• How to avoid costly mistakes on luxury pieces

This is an advanced-level course, the NCA says, noting that participants should meet at least one of the following:

• Prior pressing experience in a production environment
• Completion of NCA Standard  Pressing Plus 1 Year finishing experience
• Completion of Fibers and Fabrics training
• Two or more years of garment finishing experience

The course is $595 for NCA members and $695 for non-members, and will be held at the NCA's New York City location.
