TUCSON, Ariz. — Business owners who learn from peers, share ideas and brainstorm ways around obstacles are always increasing their chances of success.
This is the thought that brought members of the Tuchman Advisor Group (TAG) together to Tucson, Arizona in February to tour Sparkle Cleaners. The group visited Sparkle’s main plant and a few drop stores to review the company’s operation and offer feedback and suggestions.
Over the course of the meeting, each TAG member had an opportunity to give a presentation on their operation. Topics that were discussed included financials, alterations, routes, social media, and more. A highlight at one of the Sparkle drop stores, organizers reported, was a separate back entrance for access to 24/7 lockers.
Heath Bolin, president of Sparkle Cleaners says, "It was great to have some of the top cleaners in the country visit our operation and share ideas and give us a ‘look in’ from the outside.”
TAG members critiqued sparkled Cleaners’ operation. The detailed critique forms were discussed and left with hosts for their future reference.
"Having a fresh set of eyes to offer feedback on your operation is always an important exercise,” says Ross Adams, Heath Bolin’s son-in-law recently who joined the business as the general manager of Sparkle Cleaners. “When those observations are coming from industry experts like we have in the Tuchman Advisory Group, the information gained is invaluable."
Frank Dubasik, director of U.S. Operations for Metalprogetti was the guest speaker, and the group also toured Gates Pass Scenic Overlook to take in a panoramic view of Tucson.
