HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Randy Lambeth started Martinizing Dry Cleaning of Huntersville and Martinizing Dry Cleaning of Mooresville, North Carolina in 2008. When he died in 2021 at the age of 66 after complications from Parkinson’s disease, his daughter and her husband decided to take up the reins and lead the company into the future.
“My father put his heart and soul into the business and really cared about his customers and providing them with superior service,” says Rachel Marlowe, Lambeth’s daughter. She and her husband, Lane, have a mission to follow the example Lambeth set.
The couple, who live in nearby Troutman, North Carolina, plans to keep the family-run locations just that — in the family.
“I miss my Dad,” she says, “but I know he would be quite pleased and proud that we are continuing his work in the communities that he so loved.”
On May 12 and 13, the couple’s Martinizing locations are hosting a customer appreciation event in recognition of the business’s 15th anniversary.
In addition to serving refreshments and giveaways, the company will offer 25 percent off all drycleaning orders dropped off on May 12 or May 13. There will also be a 25 percent discount offered to first-time Martinizing customers.
Rachel Marlowe believes that her father left them with a good sense of direction when it comes to the business and wants to continue what he started.
“We’re proud to continue his legacy with this celebration weekend and provide even more of the same great value and service,” she says.
