NEW YORK — Rinse, a service for pickup and delivery of dry cleaning and laundry, recently announced its launch in New York City, where it will be servicing the majority of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and The Bronx.
Founded in 2013 with the goal of removing friction from clothing care, Rinse offers drycleaning and laundry services in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Washington DC Metro Area, Chicago, and Boston markets. With the company’s launch in New York, Rinse now services six of the largest markets across the United States.
“Most people spend about three hours per week on laundry and dry cleaning, which is a significant amount of time, especially for New York City residents, who have a demanding and fast-paced lifestyle”, says Co-founder and CEO Ajay Prakash. “With our launch into this new market — one of the greatest cities in the world — we are excited to free up time for our busy customers by offering more sustainable and efficient ways to get their laundry and dry cleaning done.”
The acquisition of FlyCleaners will expand the company’s customer base in New York. Previous customers of FlyCleaners will receive the high-quality service that Rinse is known for, the company states, and will be seamlessly redirected to the Rinse website or mobile app to schedule door-to-door service seven days a week. They will have the option to use additional services beyond wash and fold and dry cleaning, including Hang Dry, Clothing Repairs, and more. Rinse also offers Rinse Repeat, its laundry subscription service and most popular product, priced by the bag instead of the pound.
