CLIFTON, N.J. — Trevil America recently announced the grand opening of the company’s new showroom and warehouse in Clifton, New Jersey, to take place on Sunday, Sept. 26.
“This new facility will enable us to present our products in a more relaxed environment where a customer can spend as much time as they need to gain an understanding of how our products can best fit into their store operations,” says Stuart Ilkowitz, president of Trevil America. “Customers often wish to see and test machines before purchasing, and going into someone else’s operating plant when production is going on is often a rushed and unproductive experience.”
During the grand opening, which will be held from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., live demonstrations of pressing machinery will take place, including the newest version of the company’s Princess Ultra Tensioning Form Finisher for blouse, shirt, and jacket finishing. Various types of shirt finishing machines will also be on display, as will the Venice Hydroclean System from Imesa, Italy’s leading manufacturer of laundry machinery.
In addition to offering space for product demonstrations, the new facility will allow the company to host educational seminars regularly.
“We are planning to run an open house event every month where we will have representatives of various companies on hand to provide information regarding their products,” Ilkowitz says. “This month, we will have Steve Langiulli of Columbia Drycleaning Machinery, who will be there to demonstrate his company’s Ipura machine. In addition, we are also planning to offer the use of our facility to various associations who need a location to demonstrate or teach concepts that will help cleaners in their day-to-day operations.”
Above all, Ilkowitz believes that this new showroom and warehouse will allow his company to serve its customers better in increasingly challenging times.
“Prior to the pandemic, cleaners were already facing labor-related issues,” he says. “In today’s world, the challenges have become far greater. For many drycleaners, the keyword to survival and future growth is ‘flexibility.’”
Part of this flexibility, Ilkowitz says, is introducing cleaners to equipment that will allow them to make the most of their labor force.
“We will be focusing on showing drycleaners that, with the right type of equipment, they will be able to handle the variety of garments that come over their counter using workers who are cross-trained and able to work on multiple machines,” he says. “This will help plant owners avoid over-reliance on ‘specialists’ who can only press one type of garment and enable them to provide better opportunities for their best, most reliable employees.”
The new facility is located at 781 Van Houten Avenue in Clifton, New Jersey. For more information about the open house, contact Trevil America at 973-535-8305, or visit their website.
