SALT LAKE CITY — SPOT Business systems, a software- and web-based business tools provider for the drycleaning industry, has announced that it has acquired the Acworth, Georgia-based Fabricare Systems, LLC. Fabricare, which provides software as well as hardware tools to the industry, will become part of SPOT Business Systems. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The employees of both companies will form a combined team after the acquisition and focus on providing full technical support and services for both the SPOT and Fabricare software solutions. The newly combined group will operate under one roof, SPOT states, and will concentrate on maintaining and improving factors that affect the customer experience, including scalability, flexibility, customizability and ease of use.
Fabricare’s leadership team has agreed to serve in an advisory role for a limited period following the acquisition, and SPOT is committed to providing a smooth transition for Fabricare employees.

For SPOT, this move is an example of its effort to grow market share in the drycleaning industry, the company states. SPOT also says that the addition of Fabricare and emerging innovative products such as Connect will help it expand its position as a provider of software solutions to the drycleaning market.
