CHICAGO — Last November’s FallFest Expo — a series of virtual learning courses — turned out to be a popular and well-attended event, so its organizers have decided to do it again in April.
The FallFest Expo — sponsored by the North East Fabricare Association (NEFA), the South Eastern Fabricare Association (SEFA), the Pennsylvania & Delaware Cleaners Association (PDCA) and the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute — brought together experts to present programs via Zoom webinars. This spring’s event, to be held from April 28-30, will be smaller in scope, but planners believe it will benefit cleaners looking to improve their situation as the pandemic eases.
“DLI felt last year’s FallFest Expo was an incredible opportunity,” says DLI President Jess Culpepper, “and cleaners from around the country really benefitted by participating. We are excited to be added as a sponsor and to help SpringFest reach an even wider audience. This is a unique program and a great platform to get meaningful education for your entire plant without the expense of travel.”
Some of the topics on the schedule include S.W.O.T analysis, ways to leverage your brand and build your reputation, and “How to Stay Up in a Down Market,” a round table made up of industry leaders discussing how they are preparing for the re-opening of the industry.
“(The 2020 FallFest Expo) was a tremendous success,” says SEFA Executive Vice President Peter Blake, “and I am really excited about developing another program. There is a thirst for knowledge, and people are looking for opportunities to learn about and explore ideas to help them come out of this storm stronger and better prepared for what the future holds.”
“Breakout rooms will be an integral part of the program,” says PDCA Co-Executive Director Leslie Schaeffer. “Attendees love engaging with peers and sharing their experiences with other cleaners throughout the country, and this will be a conference highlight.”
As was the case for the previous event, the SpringFest will offer a single price for a cleaner’s entire staff, and plans are to include programming for managers, owners and customer service personnel. Also, plants registering for the SpringFest will receive a discount for the upcoming 2021 FallFest Expo.
Details will be released on the sponsors web pages when they are finalized. For more information, contact Peter Blake at [email protected] or Leslie Schaeffer at [email protected].
