CHICAGO — Rinse, a national dry cleaning and laundry delivery service, reports that it recently acquired Dryv, a Chicago-based on-demand dry cleaning and laundry provider. Dryv is the second major acquisition for the San Francisco-based company in 2020, having absorbed OffToYou in the San Jose, California area in March of this year.
“We’re thrilled to expand Rinse’s presence and capabilities in Chicago with the acquisition of Dryv,” comments Ajay Prakash, CEO of Rinse. “Chicago is a great market, and we’re seeing a lot of positive momentum here with demand back up to pre-COVID levels. The timing of this acquisition couldn’t have been better.”
In addition to dry cleaning, wash and fold, hang dry, repair and other services, Rinse offers a laundry delivery subscription service, as well as Rinse for Business, a service that provides companies the opportunity to offer laundry pick-up and delivery services as an employee benefit.
The acquisition of Dryv continues Rinse’s efforts to expand throughout the nation. Its addition brings the company into seven major American markets — San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, and Washington, DC.
Founded in 2013, Rinse’s other recent acquisitions include Cleanly’s San Francisco operations in 2019 and Washio in 2016.
