INDIANAPOLIS — ZIPS Dry Cleaning has recently expanded here, opening the first of a planned five stores in the metro area, it notes.
The new store at 5025 East 82nd Street, Suite 300, will be the first of these five stores all owned and operated by Indianapolis native Larry Frutkin and his wife, Emma, the firm writes.
Their other stores will be conveniently located throughout the metro area, including Fishers, Carmel and downtown Indianapolis, it adds.
Founded in 1996 and franchising since 2006, the dry cleaners points out that its franchise is known for its same-day, one-price business model.
Notes Frutkin: “There’s hardly anything more confusing than a dry cleaning bill. Until now, no one has ever been able to explain why different garments cost different prices. ZIPS has turned the industry on its head by charging the same low price for any dry cleaned garment, no matter what.”
Frutkin adds, “We know that Indianapolis residents will appreciate our commitment to making and keeping quality drycleaning services affordable at one low price.”
His wife Emma relates, “It’s easy to understand why an entree costs more than an appetizer at a restaurant or why getting a new transmission costs more than an oil change, but why should you pay more to dry clean a dress than a pair of pants when they’re both cleaned using the exact same process.”
In addition, the firm writes, in today’s increasingly green-conscious society, the company is leading the way in new environmentally friendly practices, such as its use of biodegradable plastic bags and hanger recycling program.
“It’s an exciting time at ZIPS as we continue to expand our brand into new markets all across the country,” says ZIPS CEO Drew Ritger. “Indianapolis is yet another region that is primed for growth, and we couldn’t be more pleased about welcoming Larry and Emma as our newest franchisees.
“Their significant business experience and enthusiasm give them and ZIPS a terrific opportunity to improve the drycleaning business in the area and pass along tremendous savings to local consumers.”
Today, the franchise notes, it has more than 50 locations open and operating throughout the Mid-Atlantic and as far as Texas and California.
