WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. — Dry cleaners are having trouble getting the right help in a tight labor market and are struggling to find and keep reliable young employees. Determining the essential factors for retaining the younger generation and developing lasting business relationships is crucial for future growth.
To answer some of these questions, the Textile Care Allied Trades Association (TCATA) is sponsoring “Hiring and Retaining the Next Generation,” a free webinar on Friday, Sept. 24 at 4 p.m. EST.
Jennifer Marquardt Whitmarsh will be presenting this webinar. Whitmarsh, who specializes in developing teams that create a culture full of dedicated employees, will share her methods during the event related to hiring and retaining young executives and personnel.
Points of discussion will include:
- Onboarding techniques
- Negotiating tactics
- Ways to motivate these valuable team members
Whitmarsh has more than 17 years of experience in the drycleaning industry. From working the front counter and developing delivery routes to becoming a chief experience officer and co-owning a dry cleaner in the Buffalo, NY area, her expertise spans all departments in a cleaning organization. She specializes in developing team members that create a culture full of dedicated employees.
This webinar was planned in coordination with Jenna Johnson of Chicago Dryer. Johnson serves as the chair of TCATA’s Young Executive Committee.
