CINCINNATI, Oh. — Tide Cleaners led the ranks for the drycleaning industry for Entrepreneur’s annual “Top Growth Franchise 150,” coming in at No. 69. The rankings list the top 150 companies with the greatest positive franchise unit growth in North American over a three-year period, and is compiled from the magazine’s yearly “Franchise 500” ranking.
“Tide Cleaners is a competitive brand in a growing, in-demand industry,” says Director of Franchising at Tide Cleaners, Clare Moore. “Earning a spot in the ‘Top Growth Franchises’ list demonstrates the company’s success and commitment to franchise development.”
"By maintaining steady, sustained growth over several years, these franchises have demonstrated that they have the systems in place to support their franchisees and help them become successful,” says Jason Feifer, Entrepreneur’s editor-in-chief. “Now, as these and other companies around the country face unprecedented challenges, they may see their growth slow, but that record of success could prove more important than ever."
Tide Cleaners also leads the drycleaning industry on the full “Franchise 500” list, coming in at No. 97. Other companies in the industry on the list were Zips Dry Cleaners (No. 317), Martinizing (No. 332), Lapels Dry Cleaning (No. 394) and Oxxo Care Cleaners (No. 409).
The company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Procter & Gamble, was founded in 2008 and started franchising the following year. It has 180 locally owned and operated locations and more than 1,800 locker locations in the United States.
