SHANGHAI, China — Texcare Asia will be the biggest yet, show planners Messe Frankfurt Shanghai announced, due to increasing demand for drycleaning and laundry products industry in China. Scheduled for Sept. 19-21, the 2007 edition of the show will cover almost 10,000 square meters [108,000 square feet] — one-third larger than Texcare Asia 2005 in Beijing and approaching half the size of a typical Clean Show.
International exhibitors already signed for the show include Alliance Laundry Systems, Electrolux, Girbau, the Jensen Group, Kannegiesser, Lapauw and Milnor. The show will also feature dedicated pavilions of German and Italian exhibitors inside its venue, the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai, China.
“Texcare Asia is the most important international event for the textile-cleaning and laundry industry in China this year,” says Elgar Straub, managing director of German allied-trades association VDMA. “[The association] is proud to be a co-organiser of the German Pavilion at the fair.”
“We’re exhibiting at the fair to showcase our technology to China buyers — to show them the latest technology in laundry and textile cleaning, which will help them to handle large amounts of textiles efficiently while still conserving water and energy,” Straub adds.
Companies from Belgium, China, Denmark, Hong Kong, Japan, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the United States will also appear on the show floor. Exhibitors will showcase a full range of products and services including drycleaning, laundry and pressing equipment, detergents and supplies, textiles and accessories for rental services, and environmental-protection equipment.
A seminar program organized in conjunction with European textile-care association CINET will feature product presentations, expert lectures and workshops on a variety of topics.
Texcare Asia is organised by Messe Frankfurt Shanghai and the China National Light Industrial Machinery Corp. Messe Frankfurt’s main offices also stage the European Texcare International in Frankfurt a.M., Germany, every four years, with the next scheduled for May 31-June 4, 2008.
