Tell Senate to Vote 'No' on Bill, TCATA Says

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Textile Care Allied Trades Association (TCATA) is calling on members and interested parties to contact their Senators to urge them to vote “No” on the Employee Free Choice Act (H.R. 800/S. 1041).
The proposed legislation would amend the National Labor Relations Act to restrict the right of an employer to request a secret-ballot election for employees in union organizing activities. Effectively making union organization easier, the bill applies to small and large businesses alike, TCATA says.
The House passed an amended H.R. 800 in March, and the Senate version could come to a vote this week, the association says. To find your Senators’ contact information, visit www.senate.gov. For more information on the bill, click here.
