Suspect Faces Murder Charge in Death at Fla. Dry Cleaner

Customer finds shooting victim in restroom, calls 9-1-1

LAKE MARY, Fla. — A 26-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery in the fatal shooting of a 60-year-old woman at a local drycleaning business on Sept. 15, according to local media reports.

Andre Ernesto Luciano is accused of shooting Nu “Jenny” Dang inside Lake Mary Dry Cleaners, the business owned by Dang’s family, and where she worked as an attendant. A customer discovered her body and phoned 9-1-1.

Luciano reportedly told investigators that he had entered the business and asked to use the store’s restroom but was told he could not. Dang was later found unclothed and mortally wounded in that restroom. The store’s cash register was empty.

The drycleaning business cleans uniforms for the Lake Mary Police Department, and officers are familiar with Dang. Arriving officers noticed her vehicle was missing and initiated a statewide search.

Luciano reportedly told a family member about the alleged shooting and car theft, and the family member contacted authorities. Luciano was arrested in Kissimmee, Fla., which is approximately 50 miles south of Lake Mary.

He is being held without bond in the Seminole County (Fla.) Jail.
