LAUREL, Md. — After more than a year of conversing via phone and Zoom due to the pandemic, the South Eastern Fabricare Association (SEFA) is set to begin meeting again in person. The organization recently announced that it has scheduled its annual meeting for Saturday, Aug. 14, at Callaway Resort and Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia.
The annual meeting, starting at 8:30 a.m., will feature the installation of new board members. The Board meeting that will follow will focus on membership, education, Southern Drycleaners & Launderers Show (SDLS) convention and exhibit planning, member communications, and other topics.
The Board will also host a group dinner on Saturday night. There will be optional group activities available, including Golf on Friday afternoon.
This meeting will also feature the installation of a new president, Randy Parham, of Acme Cleaners in Orlando, Florida, as the outgoing president, Rhonda Eysel, steps down.
“We are very excited to finally be able to meet in person again,” says Eysel, “and I think it will be a great opportunity for people to reconnect. I know I have missed the camaraderie of the Board and the membership getting together. The information I learn from all the participants is tremendous. It will be nice to see old friends, and meet some of the new members I have only seen on Zoom!”
All SEFA members are invited to attend both the annual meeting and the board meeting. For more information about attending the meetings, or participating in the golf outing or dinner, contact Peter Blake at 617-791-0128 or [email protected].
