Respess: First Compassmax Expert

Former SEFA president to maximize cleaners’ operations

FALMOUTH, Maine — Compassmax/Maineline Computer Systems, manufacturers of digital platforms, announces their first Certified Compassmax Expert, Wash Respess of Dry Cleaning Advisors, who has completed training and is available to conduct site visits to help maximize usage of the Compassmax system.

The company notes: “He has been an active beta-tester for Compassmax at Southside Cleaners-Launderers, a four-store and six-home delivery van operation in Lakeland and Plant City, Fla., since 2002.”

As a certified expert, it further explains, he will: assess business technology; repair existing system; recommend improvements; integrate technology into dry cleaning operations; and, communicate industry best practices.

Respess is a current board member and former president of the South Eastern Fabricare Association (SEFA), the firm reports.

He is a certified garment care professional and has completed numerous training programs including the Advanced Dry Cleaning course at the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI).

Prior to his 15 years in the retail drycleaning industry, it points out, Respess worked for an animal biotechnology company in Athens, Ga., as a research scientist responsible for producing cloned cattle and pigs.

His degrees include an AAS in Chemistry, BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and an MS in Animal Physiology, the company writes.

With 15 years experience, Respess will help implement individualized point of sale systems, it adds.
