PROS Parts Inc. Buys Out Competitor

Acquires Parts Pros to better service Hoyt, Omega machinery

MINNEAPOLIS — PROS Parts Inc. has expanded its ability to service the drycleaning and laundry industry with the acquisition of Parts Pros, the nation’s largest supplier of Hoyt and Omega aftermarket parts.

Parts Pros, of Westport, Mass., was formed in 2008 after Hoyt manufacturing ceased operations. Before Hoyt closed, it had acquired Omega Cleaning Systems of Canada.

“The acquisition of Parts Pros will allow us to better service the needs of Hoyt and Omega machinery worldwide and ensure owners of those brands a reliable source for replacement parts,” says Barry Victor, owner of PROS Parts.

The acquisition is the third in a series of acquisitions aimed at improving PROS Parts’ ability to offer replacement parts for all laundry and drycleaning machinery, says Victor.

“Similar acquisitions of Imparts in 2010 and Amalind in 2005 improved our ability to support brands such as Vic, Bowe, Ama, Lindus, Suprema as well as other brands’ equipment,” he adds.

Toll-free numbers and fax numbers previously in use by Hoyt, Omega and Parts Pros will be automatically directed to PROS Parts sales staff, he indicates.

“Our staff will have access to the parts manuals and inventory of those brands, which should provide a seamless transition for owners of this machinery,” notes Victor.
