Online Drycleaning Service Hopes to Clean Up

Ian P. Murphy |

CHICAGO — Will an online service that connects people who need a drycleaner with those offering such a service clean up? is a laundry network that offers laundry and drycleaning services to clients, vendors and independent house-cleaning brokers. Drycleaners and Laundromats, as well as anyone with a home washer and dryer interested in making some extra money doing other peoples’ laundry, are invited to be part of the online offering.
Drycleaners who register on the site can add their business location(s) and list the services they offer, such as wash-and-fold, drycleaning, stain removal, odor removal, button replacement, alterations and tailoring.
Clients looking for services such as laundry pickup can visit the website and search for a provider in their area by entering a zip code and scheduling an appointment online. The vendor immediately gets an alert via e-mail, text message or an automated voice message via telephone, and can respond in real time confirming the message via voice or text by pressing “one to confirm” or “two to cancel,” or by texting “yes” or “no” to confirm or cancel the appointment.
