GIG HARBOR, Wash. — The Northwest Drycleaners Association’s (NWDCA) group worker’s compensation retrospective rating program recently sent out refund checks for the 2007/2008 year. Refunds for participating members averaged $570 each, with some receiving more than $2,000 for this period.
The group program helps participating members minimize worker’s compensation costs by receiving discounts on labor and industry rates and refunds on savings produced by the group.
“The 2007/2008 retro year has officially experienced the first interim adjustment, and to date, the results are very positive, with a maximum refund of 10%,” says Chuck Brown of Fox Cleaners, and chair of the Retro Committee. “We want to applaud all members on your hard work to achieve these great results.”
NWDCA has sponsored the fund for the past 15 years. The program has earned refunds of more than $160,000 for participating members to date.
