Focus: Value of engaged employees

FORT WORTH, Texas — Motivational speaker Glenn Shepard will present the keynote address during the Southwest Drycleaners Association’s (SDA) Cleaners Showcase 2016 here at the city’s convention center on April 22-24.

Shepard is considered one of the foremost authorities on eliminating problems in the workplace, the SDA reports. He has published six books worldwide, including a national best-seller, How to Be the Employee Your Company Can’t Live Without.

He has presented seminars at some of America’s top universities and businesses, written and produced audio and video training programs, and penned countless articles, SDA says. Businesses in all 50 states and 17 foreign countries subscribe to his weekly newsletter.

Additionally, other industry leaders will share their knowledge on customer service, social media marketing and how to find additional income generators for a coin laundry. A full list of educational sessions and the show schedule is available on the SDA website.

“We will still have spotting schools and technical training available throughout the day on the show floor,” notes Showcase Chairman Allan Cripe. “But we are changing up the seminars to focus on improving your bottom line.”

The Texas Coin Laundry Association, which is partnering again this year with the SDA, will also offer a workshop as a new addition. The New Laundry Investor Workshop will cover the industry basics that one needs to know before making a first investment.

Show registration and housing information can be found on the SDA website. The Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown Hotel is offering special rates for convention attendees and exhibitors through March 30 via the SDA website or by calling the hotel directly, 817-335-7000.
