MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich. — The Michigan Institute of Laundering & Drycleaning (MILD) plans to showcase two programs available to members at its upcoming MILD Summer Convention here on July 22-23.
The first program is the new employee manual that is a member benefit to all MILD members where a free employee basic manual will be created for their organization, says the Institute.
Cheryl Ramsay, Curtis Cleaners, Grand Rapids, Mich., and Kylie Luff, Seay Management Consultants, Orlando, Fla., are the core team who developed the MILD employee manual shell for members.
MILD is working with Seay Management Consultants to create this free handbook that will include policies that members need, customized to their business, MILD reports.
Also, MILD has retained Seay to answer member questions about employment issues such as compensation, wages and hours, hiring, dismissal, and more, at no charge.
The second program is MILD’s Marketing Services. A video has been created to help with employee training and to help members understand more about the drycleaning industry, MILD indicates.
Larry Hennessee, Houser & Hennessee Advertising, is the Institute’s marketing consultant and brings free marketing services to help members create a marketing plan, promotions, increase sales and customers, and improve websites.
Headline speaker Jane Zellers will cover topics such as new equipment updates, industry trends, employee training, and more.
