COLUMBUS, Ohio — John Osborne Eckhardt, former owner and CEO of drycleaning and laundry supplier The EJ Thomas Co., died Jan. 30 at the age of 83, the Textile Care Allied Trades Association reports.
Surviving are his wife, Linda; children, Michael Eckhardt and Jodi Hammond; stepchildren, Stephanie Malas, Michael Crawford, Christina Klein, Melissa Crawford and Lynette Crawford; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his wife of 32 years and mother of his children, Joan Eckhardt.
