SAN DIEGO — Margaret’s the Couture Cleaner, a five-star luxury drycleaning service specializing in couture apparel and designer garment care, was recently featured in Accessories Council Magazine’s Winter 2026 Fifth Anniversary Issue.
The feature story, “Where Luxury Handbags (And More) Get A Second Life,” highlights the company’s evolution, starting as a trusted premium textile cleaning specialist for Ohioans, the company says, to becoming a premier destination for luxury handbag restoration, designer clothing repair, and high-end garment preservation services for the country.
The Accessories Council, the trade organization for the luxury accessories industry, featured Margaret’s story in its milestone Fifth Anniversary Issue dedicated entirely to handbags and luxury accessories.

The company notes it has received the Design Excellence Award from the Accessories Council for its “remarkable ability to give luxury items a longer life,” specifically recognizing its expert restoration of a severely burned Celine handbag. Margaret’s says this demonstrated its capability to revive even the most challenging luxury handbag restoration cases.
As quoted in the magazine feature, “Handbag restoration requires technical expertise and a deep understanding of luxury craftsmanship.” This philosophy, Margaret’s says, extends across all its luxury drycleaning services, premium textile cleaning and designer garment care offerings, guiding its approach for more than seven decades.
