DENVER, N.C. — Leonard Automatics welcomes Dhiraj Muthyala to its design engineering team, the firm reports.
Muthyala will be actively involved in new product development, machine design and product improvements, the company notes.
“Dhiraj has excellent technical skills as well as leadership talent and we are very excited to have him on the team to develop new products and customize machinery as we continue to expand our product line,” says Greg Watson, company president and CFO.
“I’m grateful to be part of Leonard’s talented engineering team and will contribute my best to this fast growing company,” says Muthyala.
“He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering from VNR VJIET, Hyd, India,” the company relates, adding, “Dhiraj recently completed his Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Carolina Charlotte.”
His experience includes the design of projects in the automotive industry for Michelin, as well as designing equipment for Husqvarna, the company says.
While completing his undergrad, Muthyala was the technical lead of a team of 40 students to design, manufacture and prototype a formula-style race car. During his Master’s degree, he was the lead designer for rebuilding the Michelin’s tire testing machine at the Motorsports Lab, the firm points out.
