LOS ANGELES — Leading Cleaners Internationale (LCI), a marketing consortium of high-end drycleaning operators, reports that seven affiliates have recently been recertified as Five-Star Certified Couture Cleaners.
The companies were Davis Imperial Cleaners, Chicago; Hallak Cleaners, New York; Creeds, Toronto; Oakwood Cleaners, Nashville, Tenn.; Meurice Garment Care, New York; Bancrofts Fine Cleaning, Melbourne, Australia; and New City Cleaners, Bakersfield, Calif. Two new affiliates, Glyndon Lord Baltimore Cleaners, Baltimore; and Dublin Cleaners, Dublin, Ohio; achieved Four-Star Certified Cleaner status.
Earlier this year, the companies passed the LCI certification program, which ensures that each affiliate delivers the finest couture cleaning and customer service available. “With 58 specific criteria to meet, it was a major undertaking,” says John-Claude Hallak of Hallak Cleaners. “But we can be sure we are reaching the level of quality and service our customers deserve.”
“While it would be great to have a certified affiliate in every city, just any cleaner won’t do,” says Barry Gershenson, LCI’s executive coordinator. “We are also focusing our efforts on certification requirements that include excellence in customer service and exclusive relationships with the finest retailers and manufacturers.”
