Johnson Elected SDA President for 2016-17

New board members added, plus two committee heads named

AUSTIN, Texas — Doug Johnson of Peerless Cleaners, Corpus Christi, Texas, is the newly elected board president of the Southwest Drycleaners Association (SDA) for 2016-2017, reports the SDA.

The announcement follows the SDA’s annual board and general membership meeting conducted earlier this year in Fort Worth, Texas.

In addition to Johnson, the SDA Executive Committee includes Amin Bata, 1st vice president; Craig Campbell, 2nd vice president; Keith Kocher, treasurer; Terry Stanton, sergeant at arms; Chuck Hempstead, executive director (ex-officio); and Brian Robertson, chairman of the board.

The SDA also welcomed two new board members. Fran Stone, Abilene, Texas, and Danny Bahlman, San Angelo, Texas, are directors of their respective functions serving on committees to carry out association duties.

Also, continuing their roles on the SDA board are Allan Cripe, Richard Thum, Kevin Kell, Philip McCain, Marty Moore, Bill Stocker, Darrell Thompson, Martin Yee, Michael Nesbit, Allan Cripe, Mark Bartnett, Jess Culpepper, Stephen Edwards, Robert Guilott, Bob Guthery, Charlie Jones, James Shepherd, John Walter, Kyle Nesbit, Charles Enderlin, Paul Hoodless, Douglas Johnson, Vicky Maisel, Rick Sims and Rusty Yates.

The SDA board paid special thanks to outgoing members and past president Robertson for their leadership during the 2015-1016 term.
